The Dubuffet exhibition had some nice surprises. Like so many of the master painters, we see a particular period in time and these become the iconic pieces in our memory when in fact, there is a whole life of work to appreciate. I really appreciated his earlier line work when perhaps he was most well known for his graphic, bold shapes. And of course the shoes… The Barbican is such a great place to visit and to be honest, it was absolutely great to be out seeing art again!

David Hockney: Drawing from Life is the National Portrait Gallery's 5-star Autumn exhibition. The show was supposed to be held in the prestigious London gallery in 2020, but was closed early and postponed due to covid. Now it's back!
