I'm 60 years old. I live in South London and I work as a Prosthetic Technician. I'm into vintage clothes, art and books.
After completing a BA at Central St Martins in metalwork and jewellery, then an MA at the Royal College of Art, I decided to use my skills to help disabled people. I now work in a hospital making anything from artificial limbs to wheelchairs.
I have never modelled before but have just registered with 'Ugly Models'. There is a demand for less than perfect people in advertising. You don't have to be young and beautiful to look good. I'm proud to be part of that movement.
My inspiration comes from many sources but at the moment I am inspired by fashion from the 1940's, particularly Dior's new look. I love how feminine and elegant women looked from that time. I spend my working day in jeans and a t shirt so dress up whenever I can!
Find a style that suits your body and your interests, stick with it and don't dilute it. Push it as far as you dare and make it your own.
I bought this coat from TRAID in Peckham for £45. I replaced the buttons with vintage ones and added a belt. I like shopping everywhere from charity shops to Selfridges. Mix it up, have fun and don't rule anywhere out!
Tracey's shoes are the perfect mix of practicality and style. They go equally well with modern designer and vintage clothes.
Since i have been wearing Tracey's shoes, never ever in my whole life have I been asked so many times "where did you get your shoes?"
Stitch by Stitch
We have had a change of interiors at our Marylebone Shop installation. Our Matthew Hilton bed has been styled with a very beautiful Stitch by Stitch quilt for the more wintery months. With an amazing rug to set our bedroom scene too.
Directors of Stitch by Stitch Graham Hollick and Karen Sear Shimali shared stories about their textile design productions and processes in India & Nepal and their textile designs.
