A Diwali Reflection

Diwali, the festival of lights, is a celebration of hope, creativity, and renewal. Since September 2024, I have been working alongside Tracey Neuls, remotely from my birthplace in India. Experiencing Diwali here has been a reminder of the energy, vibrancy, and positivity that the festival brings—and how it mirrors the care and artistry behind everything we create at Tracey Neuls.

During this time, streets glow with flickering lights, markets overflow with colour and fragrance, and communities come together to share warmth and joy. It is a season that celebrates light overcoming darkness, optimism triumphing over uncertainty, and creativity shining through every detail. Working alongside Tracey while immersed in this atmosphere has reinforced for me the importance of noticing the little things—the subtle beauty in handcrafted decorations, the generosity in sharing sweets, and the simple joy of connection. These small acts of care and attention echo the philosophy behind our designs at Tracey Neuls, where every pair of shoes carries a story of creativity and craft.

Diwali is also a moment to pause and reflect, especially in times when the world can feel uncertain or challenging. It is a reminder that light always finds a way to shine, that positivity can be cultivated, and that creativity can inspire hope.
