Rewriting the Rules of Wimbledon Whites

Serving started June 30th for this year’s Wimbledon, the eponymous tournament known just as much for its fashion as its fierce athleticism. Since its beginnings in 1877, the famously rigorous all-white dress code has been endlessly battled with and manipulated by the very best players tennis has to offer.
Its utilitarian uniformity applies to both men and women, however, some leniency in the rulebook allows for subtle flare, such as pleats and ruffles in the skirts, as well as a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre. This minimalistic manipulation of the rulebook feels akin to our Geek GoFaster range, sporty sneakers with a rebellious trim through the centre, a functional and clean touch of personality.

Wimbledon off the court remains just as fashion-forward, with its crowds adorning the Royal Box or General seating, fittingly fashionable spectators who spend hours at the event, needing the ultimate relaxing ease that our Hannah Spectator provides.

But tennis as a whole has always served a look, it's not just the prestigious tournament which causes a storm, fashion’s flirtation with the sport goes far into film and music. From Mick Jagger and Katharine Hepburn smashing up the court to the reigniting of ‘tennis-core’ with Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, tennis always finds its way into the zeitgeist.
However you’re enjoying the competition, let this be a sign to dress the part. For over a century fashion at Wimbledon has been a declaration of taste and flair, and this season, our shoes serve up a timelessness that could place you seamlessly in any era of the tournament.
