Artist Jemima Burrill will be screening three films in two locations across the UK this November.
On the 15th at the Whitechapel Gallery, she will be showing her latest film 'Harvest' as part of the 'Open Screenings', alongside four other artist/ filmmakers. The showcase of short films, each of which is no more than 15 minutes long, takes place three time a year and aims to introduce to a wider audience the film work of both established and emerging artists.
Then on the 17th of November in Cardiff at The George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling; Two of her previous film works, 'Kneaded' and 'Contained' are included as part of day long symposium that aims to explore the current role of artists that are mothers. Artists, curators and policy makers will all be present to discuss the contribution of the maternal voice in contemporary art.
