The Michelin Star chef Alain Ducasse has a by-line in chocolates, and they are as exquisite as his contemporary French cuisine. Specialising in three main types: ganaches, pralinés and truffles, each one offers different recipes, textures and flavours. From traditional blends to unusual flavours and ingredients there is something for anyone with a taste for luxury and quality. Solid bars with varying cocoa content from around the globe line the walls, so you can hand pick your ideal cacao percentage and geographical location or opt for a selection box, starting from £12.

Selling hand-made, sustainable products, Botanical Boys is an interactive workshop space and shop in Coal Drops Yard. Connecting people to nature through plants the store sells hand-crafted objects and homewares, each with a unique story to tell. Workshops include handcrafting a self-sustaining Terrarium, with private workshop events accommodating up to 200 people.

Not your average charity shop - Boutique by Shelter offers a curated pick of charity clothing in a store designed by HemingwayDesign. Designer, vintage and high street pieces are on offer at fantastic prices. It is such fun hunting for treasure in charity shops, especially knowing that your purchase is contributing to a great cause - in this case the fight against homelessness. Boutique by Shelter accepts clothing and small item donations at the store, so if you have something nice that could bring joy to a new owner, do drop it by during open hours. Currently closed for a refurb but relaunching on the 14th January, Cubitts Kings Cross is a must-go for any glasses wearer. Offering 140 different acetate colours they have a bespoke collection and a made to order service.
Catering for every size and shape they offer contemporary twists on modern classics. The store also features 4 exclusive designs only available from Coal Drops Yard, based on influential figures from Kings Cross history.
There is a new Ace & Tate in the yard too - offering free eye tests - yes really - so we are spoilt for choice. Glasses wearing has never been so fun!
Last but not least, Rains. The rainwear lifestyle brand has taken the world by storm - excuse the pun ;) with its stylish waterproof garments and accessories, that don't require rain to look good in.
Coal Drops Yard is host to one of its 2 London stores, where you'll find a range of jackets, coats, bags and accessories all challenging traditional perceptions of rainwear. Perfect for the global citizen.
There are so many fantastic stores and restaurants in Coal Drops Yard - it is a gorgeous spot to visit. Take a wander by the canal; saunter around the shops, or have a bite to eat at one of the many cafes, restaurants and bars.
