At Coal Drops Yard, creativity is all around you, from the architectural juxtaposition of old and new to the contents of the stores and the people who work in them.
The Guardian has spoken to staff and owners about their personal approaches to fashion, and what it’s like to work in London’s hottest new shopping and dining destination.
‘Whenever you have great shoes on your feet, [putting together] the rest of your outfit is easy,’ says Christine Bauer, sales adviser at footwear boutique Tracey Neuls. ‘Coal Drops Yard is very sociable,’ Bauer explains. ‘I love the magic of Neuls’ shop in this new space and the people it attracts. I’m very much looking forward to the summer here.’
