Craft Week In Marylebone
Share
It's a super event this year. We encourage you to get out and about this week/weekend to see some amazing hand crafted objects. There is nothing like hand-worked pieces to make you smile, fall in love and appreciate all the people who made these objects, especially with all the talk of AI these days. We stopped into a couple of our favourite neighbours, who's exhibitions we think you will enjoy.
Mint's offer is always passionately curated. The Gallerist is equipped with an amazing eye for detail and an ability to find design off the beaten track, you'll be sure to discover unique pieces never seen before. We marvelled at the fine thread vases, thick interwoven leather furniture and glass vases that seem impossible to create. A sensory treat indeed.
This isn’t a Jewellery shop to glance about in, take your time and enjoy the details and the story too. The guest designer for Craft Week is Peruvian Andrea Jose, known for her responsible, artisanal work with gold; mined without mercury. Her textile-inspired collection is stunning, original and one-of-a-kind. Collaborations between her and Rachel Sweeney later in the week are much anticipated.
Elise Ovanessoff is a London-based architect in its broadest sense, encompassing buildings, interiors, exhibitions, furniture, landscape, graphics, and crafts. She loves ceramics and porcelain in small shapes. Elise combined her passion with Japanese culture and came up with her own collection of ceramic ornaments. We have some of her pieces in our shop until Sunday. They are as delicious to feel as look at - you must encounter them yourself.
We have free booklets detailing all the Craft Week events on in London. Do pop in and grab a copy for free. Whilst you are visiting, of course do have a look at our crafty Dot Trainers - did someone say Sugarcane soles???
