Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became a nutritionist?
I have been in practice since 1996 - ages! - which is when I qualified from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. Before and during my 3 year training to be a nutritionist I was a model and travelled a lot, that is when I really began to experiment with food - I particularly loved the food in Tokyo where I went a couple of times to do the shows. Nowadays I see clients for consultations, run weight loss courses, hold cookery workshops from my kitchen in West London and do lots of corporate talks. I also go on amazing trips to lovely places as a nutritionist for The Healthy Holiday Company. I am married to photographer Richard Bradbury and we have 3 lovely children: Camille 20yrs, Marley 18yrs and Dylan 11yrs. We have lived in Chiswick for 23 years but I am dying to get a house in Somerset - I've been saying that for so many years!
You constantly inspire people with your health tips and inspirations, what inspires you?
I love to travel and to eat out with friends - which is how I get inspiration for new recipes. I have also worked with some great chefs on my inspa retreats who are always passing on new ideas to me. I listen to podcasts and webinars and attend seminars to keep up with the constantly evolving science of nutrition.
How would you describe your style and influences?
I pretty much live in jeans in the Winter and shorts in the Summer, which I love to wear with Tracey's shoes and boots. Last Summer I did actually buy a few dresses, quite long and floaty which I wore with my TN yellow sliders. I like Zadig and Voltaire, Whistles and J.Crew and would happily dress myself entirely from these 3 shops.
Are there any nutritional mottos or mantras you picked since practicing as a nutritional therapist?
Yes - this is what I say to clients all the time:
Where's the protein?
Half of your plate should be covered by vegetables.
Reduce added sugar to a minimum.
Increase healthy fats in your diet
Drink more water
What Tracey Neuls style do you enjoy wearing and why?
Alli wears Ginger Snake
