Quill London is delighted to announce a pop-up partnership with contemporary footwear designer, Tracey Neuls. From 19th November 2014, visitors to the Tracey Neuls store in Marylebone Lane will also be able to browse a carefully curated selection of Quill stationery. An edited selection of design-led brands will be exhibited including: Midori, Tom Pigeon, Maison Martin Margiela, StudioSarah and Sugar Paper.Quill London will also run a special edition Modern Calligraphy class out of the store in December.
This exciting partnership follows a series of prestigious collaborations between Tracey Neuls and some fantastic names including Cutler and Gross eyewear, concert pianist James Rhodes and magazine Intelligent Life.
Speaking of her partnership with Quill London, Tracey Neuls said: From my love of small things and attention to detail, I've always had a deep design association with stationery. Shunning fashion fads and trends, inspiration is taken from literally everywhere. Stationery details such as envelope ties have been translated into shoe fasteners and rubber bands have been weaved together in shoe uppers. Each season when I'm designing, I sketch shoes on square sticky notes, so I can move them around to see the collection as a whole. My satisfaction for fine stationery verges on addiction!
Lucy Edmonds of Quill London said: ‘As a long-time fan of Tracey Neuls shoes and her other-wordly stores in Marylebone and Shoreditch, I’m delighted to be partnering with her for this pop-up shopping event.’
Tracey Neuls is no ordinary footwear designer. Taking inspiration from the world around her, her designs are always unique, intriguing yet still contemporary and commercial. Reflecting this vision, the Tracey Neuls shop goes against the grain of the sameness of other footwear shops. There are no shelves; instead the shoes are hung from the ceiling, to relate how they naturally move on your feet. Mary Portas, Queen of Shops, said that Tracey Neuls in Marylebone Lane was one of her favourite shops in London, “This shop is like walking straight into the artist’s imagination”.
It is into this vibrant and individual space that Quill London will bring its signature selection of design-led, contemporary stationery. Perfect for the pre-Christmas indulgence, whether you’re looking for a gift for others or a treat for yourself, the pop-up will run right through until Christmas.
