The Lady From Shanghai

Last night we went to the BFI to see The Lady from Shanghai, an little-known film by Orson Welles staring Rita Hayworth, which was a pleasingly odd mix of comedy (verging on the theatrical) and film noir. The film featured fantastic dialogue, with such classic lines as "for an intelligent woman, my dear, you sure make a lot of mistakes".... never did we think that we would hear Hayworth speak Chinese. It's well worth a watch
