The Venice Biennale 2024 has just opened in Italy, and alongside the pavilions are a number of satellite shows across the city.
I'm Not Afraid of Ghosts is one such exhibition. Hosted by TCollection in the spectacular 16th century Palazzo Tiepolo Passi on the Grand Canal - here Women take centre stage. Featuring 33 artists, the exhibition is loosely curated around the idea of acknowledging our histories and ghosts, then forging new paths forward. It comprises of majority women artists with multifaceted points of departure. Household names include Sarah Lucas, Tracey Emin, Jenny Holzer, Marlene Dumas, alongside many others across generations and backgrounds.
Do visit if you are in Venice - the Palazzo is beautifully characterful, each room hung with contemporary work that brings a powerful, intense charge to the historic space.
