Look Again Supergraphics Festival

Supergraphics are large-scale graphics, typography or imagery used to enhance large surfaces like walls or ceilings. The concept was originally explored by American designer Barbara Stauffacher Solomon (1928-2024) in the 1960s when she mixed large-scale abstractions with hard-edge Swiss graphics.
We love these photos of the Designerist Emmanuelle Morgan wearing our new DOT Sneakers to the Look Again Supergraphics festival.
Morgan is a design historian, digital creator and all-round super star - the perfect advocate for our newly launched, environmentally conscious sneakers. The paste-up wall featured above was designed by Paris68redux who were formed by a desire to re-present the protest artwork from the Paris 68 uprising.
The Supergraphics festival features 14 artists over 16 sites in Newhaven, East Sussex, for the month of June. Some of the biggest names in graphic design have created murals, paste-ups and run workshops.
'Artworks have been designed to represent the community, local landscape, nature and history of Newhaven. The festival will see blank walls and neglected streets converted into spaces of colour and creativity. Look Again aims to bring joy and inspiration to the town’s residents, and encourage visitors to reassess the industrial town they may have previously overlooked.' say the organisers.
With street food, pop-up bars and free workshops, not to mention the murals - it makes for a fantastic day out. Check the Supergraphics Festival website for more event information here.
