'tis the season to don our finest frocks, sup the amber nectar and enjoy the sunshine! Whether it's Royal Ascot, Wedding celebrations or a party on the lawn, here are our top tips for the season - what to wear and how to wear it...
Wedding Shoes
Wedding shoes (for bride and guests) need not be vertiginously high, nor so OTT that they are rarely worn again. Better for the planet that we purchase clothes that we can enjoy time and time again, through the years.
With a hand-turned wooden heel that will biodegrade in the far out future, this gorgeous mid-heel slide is luxurious and elegant. The sole is finely balanced upon a beautifully crafted red wooden heel - the craftsmanship so exquisite that the leather sole is proudly signed by its maker. A velcro closure on top makes this a sandal you can truly fit to your foot shape, for a sleek look, with flash of seductive red. The perfect compliment to any outfit, pair with a great shade of toe polish.
We know many of you have been asking for bright coloured mens shoes this season, well, Karl Bubblegum is the answer to your prayers. A smart, stylish, fun alternative to the more stuffy men's wedding shoe so often begged, borrowed, or unearthed from the closet. This is one to enjoy yourself in, feel immensely comfortable, and catch a sliver of the limelight for yourself too! ;)
Made from luxurious Italian calf leather they have a removable padded insole that you can refresh when the time comes. Karl Piano below, are another pair to suit every occasion. The graphic quality to these makes them look super slick with sharp tailoring.
For a corresponding look in womenswear we have Jackie Fineliner, an incredibly comfortable wedge sandal - not as high as it looks! At 35mm it is actually a low heeled sandal and is as comfortable as a flat. You can effortlessly walk in it all day long but look dressed up to the nines! The soft, vegetable-dyed leather wraps around your foot, as silky soft as Jackie O's scarf.
Wedding Accessories
Turning to accessories - Loopy Petal is the answer to your summer handbag needs. This gorgeous dusty pink applique bag is lined in pure silk with Italian leather base and handles; the perfect size for all your party needs. A take on our classic Loopy bag, it comes with a shoulder strap too, so you can wear any-which-way you fancy.
Circular leather handles hang from your wrists, leaving you hands-free to embrace the world, and that champagne glass...Cheers!
